Just by coincidence my birthday falls on the week of Magic. Next week is no different. It's nice of DG and Triple Five Soul to throw me parties in my honor...not really. As much as I'd rather stay home with my wife, it's a consellation that I get to celebrate with the SOY boys and friends in the industry. If you're in the area stop by.

Apologies for being unplugged for a bit. We've been travelling and preparing for Magic, Las Vegas.

Anyway, I've been in New Orleans for the last six days. If you've never been I'd highly recommend visiting. The food, the history, the attractions, and the people are amazing! Definitely hit up the Hurricane Katrina tour. It's an eye opener...it'll keep you grounded.

As I walked through the French Quarter I stumbled upon two streetwear boutiques. Traffic is a small shop on Chartres Street. But don't let the size fool you, Lawrence carries some heavy hittin' brands. The second boutique, re:fresh, is fairly new and can be found on Peters Street (across from Canal Place). The vibe is clean and sophisticated. Shawn also carries some very well known brands that I routinely covet. What's nice about both shops is the fact that they carry westcoast brands.

In a place full of local restaurants and souvenir shops (see last pic), it was comforting to see something I was familiar with. Best of luck to both Traffic and re:fresh!

More "hurry up and wait" flix from yesterday...with a couple of sneak peeks. :)

It's that time of year again when we're frantically getting ready for Magic, Las Vegas. On Sunday's, starting about a month ago, we hit up our printer, Ransom (yes, that's his name), to get our samples done. Most of the time, on our part, we just sit around and wait for the printing and do press/color checks before the final run. The shop itself offers up a lot of photo opps. So in between prints I stroll around and take pics. Below are a few I took while in the midst of waiting. Enjoy.

This is kind of a random post, but don't you hate it, first day of school, or you go to a club, and you walk in and the first thing you see is someone else wearing the exact same outfit and even the same shoes?!

Well, after a hard night, I went over to Four Seas for some chicken wings (one of the best in Seattle) and visit my favorite bartender, Aimee. What do we find in the parking lot, pretty much the same "outfit and shoes." The funny thing is that I met both the owners, and they are friends. The one just kept giving the other one such a hard time for buying the exact same car, in the exact same color, and almost the exact same Dubs.

Both cars were extremely nice and in perfect condition. The one on the right was owned by Monique Payton (Gary Payton's wife) first.

Lesson: Don't go to school on the first day, go to bed instead of a club, and pick friends with different tastes in cars.

When you were a kid, do you remember that pre-Christmas feeling...all excited about Santa Claus coming and ripping open presents?! Well, that's how I felt today when I saw this package come in.

I'm proud to announce that we have crossed the line into the world of cut & sew. Our first set of samples for Spring 09 has finally arrived! I'm so excited to release images but not just yet. You boys and girls need to be good for another few months before I start leaking pics. In the meantime...Merry Christmas to me!

The cooler weather didn't deter any Filipinos from coming out for Pista Sa Nayon, the oldest Filipino festival in America. I was hoping to take a lot more flix but just didn't have an opportunity because we were so slammed. I did get a few, and the last one is my favorite. DJ Eoscents was so inspired by our Deep Roots joint that he had it permanently inked! Mabuhay bruh!

The long anticipated day has finally come! H&M opens in Seattle today!

I'll probably wait a week when the hype dies down before I attempt to go there. I'm hoping they'll have the Fall collaboration with Commes de Garcon...doubt it.

Happy shopping Seattleites!
